Dirty 🐠 🐟 Fish

The dirty truths about certain fish. Fish to avoid:

Unbalanced omega 6 and 3 ratios – Tilapia, Farm Raised Salmon and King Mackerel

Over fished and best left in the sea – Atlantic Cod, Atlantic Flatfish (halibut, flounder and sole) as well as Cavier, Eel, Chilean Seabass, Imported King Crab, Orange Roughy, Shark, Atlantic Bluefin Tuna and Sturgeon.

Endocrine disruptors – Eel and Shrimp (additives to the water)

Ridden with pesticides, feces and bacteria – Farm raised Salmon, Tilapia, Shrimp and Catfish.

High Mercury – Shark, Atlantic Bluefin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel and Grouper.

Better choice fish: Atlantic Mackerel, Pacific Sardines, Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon, Albacore Tuna (troll- or pole-caught, from the U.S. or British Columbia)

Sablefish/Black Cod (from Alaska and Canadian Pacific)
